Light Show
Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, the FMCG business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) launched at its Light Show in Chennai the latest technology in Light Emitting Diodes (LEOs) which is an environment friendly and energy efficient technology.
LED is the future technology for lighting and is useful in the creation of interesting lighting effects both in interior and exterior work spaces. LED has high lumens per watt and provides a long service life. Wipro showcased several LED based products for both exterior and interior work spaces, besides products for Outdoor Landscape applications which included a new range of Architectural Streetlights, Fantasy Heritage and Pathways to light up the exterior workspaces These and other Brightness Management and Lighting Control Solutions were launched at Wipro Lighting's premium event to launch new products and technologies, at the annual 'light Show' in Chennai held at Hotel Taj Coromandel on December 2, 2004.
This was the fifth Light Show held in Chennai by Wipro. This year the Light Show would be taken to 21 locations, mostly non-metros. The Light Show provides an opportunity for customers to see and experience the newest range of Wipro Lighting products, said Rajesh Kochchar, Chief Executive, C & I Business, and Wipro.
"This customer interaction helps us to receive feedback on our existing products. Customers also have been the source of great ideas that we have converted to new products. Some of our best selling products are those that we have jointly created with customers," said Kochhar.
"Good Lighting is about creating the right ambience and effects. It is about creating different moods and giving you control over your lighting environment. Importantly one should have the flexibility of changing your lighting to adapt to a new situation. This flexibility is provided by Wipro Lighting solutions," he added.
"Wipro Lighting bas been at the forefront in providing innovative and energy efficient solutions with latest international technologies backed with service commitment through wide network of 15 branches and over 100 stockists " said Anuj Dhir, Marketing Manager - Wipro Lighting.
