WHAT IS A CLEANROOM?

Cleanrooms are extremely purified areas, where temperature, air quality and humidity are kept under strict control and the air is sterilised to eliminate contamination & dust particles, so as to maintain a certain type of PPM, which is essential in a sterilised application. For example, an ingress of a stray particle of 0.5 microns, which is 200 times thinner than human hair, in a cleanroom can impact the quality of a product and lead to serious consequences. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that the quality of their indoor environment is controlled, to avoid contamination which could disturb the sterility of the cleanroom.
